Privacy Policy

This website is a publication, not a service. It is designed to collect as little information as possible.

1. What we do not collect

  • No user accounts, logins or profiles
  • No financial, payment or trading information
  • No identity documents of any kind
  • No sale or rental of personal information to third parties

2. The educational calculator

The profit and loss calculator runs entirely in your browser. The values you enter are not transmitted to any server, not stored by us and not associated with you in any way. Refreshing the page discards them.

3. Theme preference

If you switch between light and dark mode, that single preference is saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it on your next visit. It contains no personal information and never leaves your device. Clearing your browser storage removes it.

4. Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may record standard technical request information such as IP address, timestamp, requested page, referrer and user-agent string. This is used for security, availability and aggregate traffic understanding only.

5. Cookies

Fjord Markets Research Desk does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Any storage we use is strictly functional, as described above.

6. External references

Where we mention third-party organisations, we do so editorially. We do not control their data practices, and their policies apply to any interaction you have with them elsewhere.

7. Your rights

Because we do not maintain user accounts or personal records, there is normally no personal data held about a visitor to access, correct or delete. Where local law grants you rights over technical log data, you may contact us to exercise them.

8. Children

This site is intended for adults. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them.
